In Roblox Epic Minigames, players compete in rounds of… well… ‘minigames’. In terms of organization, it is much like Mario Party in this regard. These minigames include everything from painting to platformers, and there are currently five categories of games that have different styles, goals, and ways to win but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, and start with some basics.
The premise of the game seems simple enough, but once you start playing it you realize there are a few technicalities that make the game supremely challenging. To help you out, we formulated this cheat sheet for tips and tricks on how to become a pro at Epic Minigames.
Epic Minigames game mechanics
The first and most important tip we can give you is to understand the gameplay mechanics of the game before you start playing. This will give you an edge over other noobs because you’ll already know what to expect from the game once it starts and won’t have to learn easy lessons the hard way.
Players can play a variety of different minigames every round. If players win a minigame, they earn 10 coins (15 points in Pro Servers more on servers, later!), which players can spend items in the shop.
After each round, players will respawn in the lobby, where a new minigame is chosen after 10 seconds. Most minigames are usually around 30 to 90 seconds. The 5 main categories of minigames you need to know before you start are:
• Solo minigames: these require the player to work individually to win. This category includes ‘first to’ minigames, or ‘top 3’ minigames. In solo minigames, players cannot affect each other directly.
• Free for all: these force the player to directly battle one another while they compete, but not kill one another directly. Instead, players race to complete a stated goal before others on the server.
• Team: these minigames divide the server into two teams, which then face one another in a team-based objective. Whichever team completes the goal first wins.
• Controller: these minigames select one player to be the ‘controller’, who will then attempt to defeat everyone else on the server. Anyone left standing at the end of the match (including the ‘controller’ wins.)
• Entire server: these minigames require the efforts of everyone on the server to complete the objective. Some games in this category result in every player in the server even winning or losing. Others result in some players losing and others winning.
Making smart purchasing decisions in Epic Minigames
Usually, when players win minigames, they will unlock ‘coins’, the game’s primary in-game currency. Coins can be used to purchase gear, cosmetic items that can affect gameplay.
Epic Minigames servers:
To play a round in Epic Minigames, players will need to join a ‘server’. Not all minigames are available in every kind of server and each server caters to a different kind of play. There are currently four different server types in-game: ‘Normal’, ‘Pro’, ‘Large’, and ‘Private’.
1. Normal
Normal servers are the basic type of server, which can hold up to 12 players. Normal servers give access to all 114 minigames and grant 10 coins for winning each. Start in this server and learn all the ropes before trying to win more coins in pro servers.
2. Pro
Pro servers are a more advanced type of server, unlocked when players reach Level 24 and have earned the ‘Pro Badge’. Pro Severs have all minigames and can also hold up to 12 players. But in Pro Servers, the time limit for each minigame is significantly lower and some minigames are made slightly harder. In Pro Servers, 15 coins are granted for each win.
3. Large
Large servers can hold up to 36 players, but in every other regard acts like a Normal server: a minigame win grants 10 coins, for instance. However, only some minigames are available on large servers. But more are made available with every update as their capacity is upgraded. Furthermore, in minigames with one winner in Normal servers, Large server variants sometimes have 5.
4. Private
Finally, Private servers are available for 100 Robux – Roblox’s premium inter-game currency. Private servers can be used to play exclusively with friends but wins do not count towards Monthly Leaderboards in Private Servers.
Epic Minigames codes and freebies:
The main tip and trick to becoming a Pro in Epic Minigames is to redeem all the codes whenever they are released as early in the game as you can. This will help you get on the ladder immediately and begin to stand out in the crowd as soon as possible.
While playing Epic Minigames, your secondary goal will be to earn coins to purchase gear: cosmetic items that can sometimes help you gain the upper hand in minigames, but this can take some level of grinding to achieve naturally, so you may be interested in some of the best Epic Minigames codes to help you on your way.
Epic Minigames codes deliver cosmetic items, most of which do not have any impact on the minigames themselves, sometimes, however, codes give a neat shortcut to having to unlock a bunch of gear.
Usually, when players win minigames, they will unlock ‘coins’, the game’s primary in-game currency. Coins can be used to purchase gear, cosmetic items that can affect gameplay.
For this reason, most servers deliver either 10 or 15 coins for a victory, so you can assume it will take a lot of time to earn gear naturally. This makes promo codes extremely useful but limited somewhat by the fact that they can only deliver a limited variety of items.
