There are 48 different classes in MapleStory, each with its own skills, strengths, and weaknesses. And to make matters worse, no two are created equal; some are just better than others. Choosing the wrong class at the start of your adventure means potentially dozens of hours of painful mobbing and farming.

Keep in mind that these damage figures are calculated based on ideal conditions. It is an overview of how much damage each class, in theory, can dish out against a single target. It also doesn’t account for a class’ utility or any useful buffs they provide.
We’re fully aware that by ranking classes by their damage potential, we’re ignoring a lot of the nuance and depth of MapleStory’s combat system. We’ve done the best support classes dirty by basing their value on their ability to dish out the pain. But a character that deals a ton of damage guarantees a consistently good time, whether solo or in a party.
