So you’ve beat Borderlands 2. Did all the DLC it has to offer. What now? Well anything you want with the help of Gibbed codes.

What are Gibbed codes?

Gibbed codes are strings of text that refer to a specific item within Borderlands 2. They look like this for example:

BL2(BwAAAADSBhYoAgPQ0BBabQAiBeIGom3i/////////z8AInCibuI=)

You use these when you want to add an item to your character. You can find a full list complete with images of every item you might ever want by heading here.

How do I use Gibbed codes in the Save Editor?

First things first. You need to download Gibbed’s Borderlands 2 Save Editor. The latest version of the program can be downloaded on Gibbed’s official Github. Just download the file named “bl2_saveedit_1.0.42.zip” and unzip it. You’ll also need the full .NET Framework 4 for it to run. If you don’t have it already you can get it here.

You can use this Save Editor not just to add Gibbed codes, but also to change your level, money, skill, points, and more. Also in case you’re wondering you can use the Editor with the base game and with all the Borderlands 2 DLC.

After you download the Editor, go ahead and open it.

Gibbed General

Load your save by clicking open. The Editor should automatically find your save folder. If not navigate to your save folder:

C:Users(Your Name)My DocumentsMy Gamesborderlands 2willowgamesavedata765XXXXXXXXXX

Open your save. It should be called save0001.sav if you’ve only got one. If you have more then choose which one you want to edit. If your worried about your save getting corrupted or it being messed up by the Editor then you can duplicate the save file just in case.

We haven’t heard about this happening to anyone, but it’s nice for peace of mind. Now let’s begin.

Spafires Gibbed Codes

Find the item you’re looking for here and choose what skin, weapon, mod, or shield you desire. Copy the code for it.

Gibbed Backpack

Now go back to the Editor, select the Backpack tab, and click “Paste Code”. The Gibbed item code you copied will now be added to your backpack. Hit save and launch Borderlands 2. You should now have the item. Repeat this as many as you’d like.

Who is Gibbed?

Gibbed is a programmer who goes by the name Rick Gibbed. He’s made a ton of programs that mod games, the most popular being his Borderlands 2 Save Editor. If his program helped you out and let you go crazy in Borderlands 2 then be sure to send a few bucks his way on his Patreon or by using the Epic Support-A-Creator Tag “GIBBED”.
