Keep clicking — speed builds quickly.

CPS — clicks per second — measures how fast you can click. Gamers use it to benchmark mouse speed for Minecraft PvP, idle clickers, and any game where click rate matters. This browser test runs entirely on your device: pick a duration, click the target to start, then click as fast as you can until the timer hits zero.

How to use the CPS test

  1. Choose a test length — 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds.
  2. Click the target once to start the timer. That first click counts.
  3. Click as fast as you can until time runs out.
  4. Read your CPS score and compare it to your personal best for that duration.

What is a good CPS score?

Average players usually score 4–7 CPS with regular clicking. Competitive players in Minecraft or rhythm games often reach 8–12 CPS using jitter or butterfly techniques. Scores above 6 CPS are solid for most titles; above 10 CPS is exceptional on a standard mouse.

Tips for a higher score

  • Use a lightweight mouse with low click latency and a comfortable grip.
  • Keep your wrist relaxed — tension slows you down.
  • Practice short 5-second bursts; speed builds faster than long sessions.
  • Disable browser zoom at 100% so the click target stays consistent.
  • On trackpads and touchscreens, expect lower CPS than a gaming mouse.
