Cheat codes allow you to do cool things like disable Death, instantly gain Simoleons, or enable free building anywhere you want. You can activate cheats by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on your computer (or simultaneously pressing the four shoulder buttons if you’re on Xbox or PlayStation). A text console will pop up where you can input whatever cheat codes you want to activate. Check out the complete list of The Sims 4 cheat codes below.

Hidden features
The Sims 4 has some useful features that are never explained in the game. These aren’t cheats so you can actually use these features without ever going into the cheat console.
Debug cheat codes
These are cheat codes that the game’s testers use in searching for and replicating bugs or trying out new features. You’ll find they can come in really handy!
In order to enable these cheats, type testingcheats on in the Cheat Console. Now you can freely use these cheats by holding Shift and clicking on a Sim. You can disable debug cheats by typing testingcheats off in the Cheat Console.
| Shift + click on Sim→ Cheat Need → Make Happy | Instantly maxes out all motives and sets the Sim’s mood to Happy. |
| Shift + click on Sim > Cheat Need > Enable Need Decay | Enable or disable Need Decay. Default is enabled, meaning the Sim’s needs gradually decrease over time. |
| Shift + click on Sim or object → Reset Object | Reset a Sim’s or an object’s position in the world. Convenient if you’re the type who likes to experiment with user-made items that can sometimes cause bugs. |
| Shift + click on Sim or object → Modify in CAS | CAS is the Create-a-Sim menu. This cheat lets you return to that screen where you can modify everything but their name and traits. |
| Shift + click on Sim → Add to Family | Add a Sim that isn’t part of your family into it. |

Enlarging and shrinking items
Did you know you can enlarge and shrink items? Enter Build Mode and pick up an item, then press the ] key to make it bigger. You can press the [ key to shrink the item, but keep in mind that items cannot be smaller than their original size. The ability to enlarge items is great for when you’re designing a house and want to adjust the size of mirrors, windows, or doors. Keep in mind, messing with the size of objects can make the game go a little crazy!
