Coin Master friends: how to add them, what they're for & trading

Friends in Coin Master unlock card trading, spin gifting, invite rewards, and better raid targets. Here's everything the friends system does and how to use it.

Friends in Coin Master do more than give you someone to raid. They’re the foundation for card trading, spin gifting, and invite rewards — and a large, active friends list is one of the most practical free-to-play advantages available. This guide covers what the friends system actually does and how to make the most of it.

What friends are for

Having friends in Coin Master unlocks several things that aren’t available to solo players:

  • Card trading — send and receive cards with friends to complete sets faster
  • Spin gifting — send free spins to friends and receive them in return
  • Invite rewards — earn spins when new players join using your invite link and reach Village 2
  • Raid targets — your friends’ villages appear as raid targets, and you can see whether they’ve been online recently (useful for targeting less-defended villages)
  • Leaderboard ranking — your star count is ranked against your friends list in addition to country and global rankings

Friend limits

The game supports up to 250 friends. At any given time, only 180 friends appear in your Friends List — the list rotates roughly every 24 hours. Invite rewards (from new players joining via your link) are tracked for up to 250 friends.

How to add friends

Coin Master uses Facebook to connect players. To add friends:

  1. Open Coin Master and tap the Friends icon in the bottom-right of the main screen
  2. Tap the Friends tab
  3. Tap Invite friends at the bottom
  4. Choose how to send your invite — the green button sends via any method (WhatsApp, text, link share); the blue button sends via Facebook Messenger

Anyone on your Facebook friends list who already plays Coin Master will appear automatically once your account is connected to Facebook.

To connect Facebook for the first time: tap the large Play with Friends box when opening the app, then follow the Facebook permissions prompt.

Inviting new players

When someone new installs Coin Master using your invite link and completes Village 2, you earn spins from a progress bar reward. The key requirements for the invite reward to trigger:

  • The person must be a first-time player — never downloaded the game before on that device
  • They must install using your specific link (if someone else invited them first, you get no credit)
  • They must reach Village 2
  • They must accept your friend invite in the game

You can invite as many people as you want, but rewards track for up to 180 friends via the progress bar, and up to 250 friends when they connect via Facebook.

Sending and receiving spins

Once you’re friends with someone in the game, you can send them free spins as a gift. They can send spins back. Gifted spins go through the in-game Gift menu — tap the Friends icon and look for the Gift or Send Spins option.

There’s a daily limit on how many spins you can send and receive. A large friends list generates more incoming gifts, which is why experienced players actively build their friend count beyond just real-life acquaintances.

Card trading with friends

You need to be Facebook friends to trade cards with someone. The rules:

  • You must have at least two copies of a card to send one — you keep one, your friend gets one
  • Standard cards can be sent once per day per card
  • Gold cards can only be sent during active Gold Card Trade events
  • Trading is done through the Friends/Cards section inside the app

Card trading is best coordinated — posting in your team chat or in dedicated Coin Master trading groups on Facebook helps you find players who have the specific card you need and vice versa. See Coin Master card trading for more on how trading events work.

Bring Back Partners

Bring Back Partners is an event-specific mechanic that runs during the Wildland Adventure event. It lets you send re-engagement invites to friends who have gone inactive. When an inactive friend uses your link, logs back in, and uses Bombs in the Wildland Temple, your milestone bar fills and you earn rewards including spins, coins, and chests.

The same rules apply: if someone else brings back that friend first, you get no credit.

Using friends as raid targets

Your friends’ villages appear as potential raid targets. A useful targeting heuristic: friends who haven’t been online recently are less likely to have shields or an active Rhino — making them easier to raid for more coins. You can request revenge raids against anyone who has recently raided you by tapping the Revenge button.

How to remove a friend

The only way to remove a friend from Coin Master is to unfriend them on Facebook. There’s no in-game remove option.

FAQ

Do you need Facebook to add friends in Coin Master?

Yes. The friends system is built on Facebook. Without a connected Facebook account you can still play, but you won’t have access to card trading, spin gifting, or friend-based features.

How many friends can you have in Coin Master?

Up to 250. Only 180 show in your Friends List at any given time — the list rotates daily.

How do you get spins from friends in Coin Master?

Friends can send you spins as gifts through the in-game Gift menu. There’s a daily limit. The more active friends you have, the more incoming spin gifts you receive.

Can you trade cards with anyone or only friends?

Only Facebook friends. You need at least two copies of a card to send one. Gold cards can only be traded during Gold Card Trade events.

Why didn’t I get my invite reward?

The invited player must be brand new to the game (never installed it before), must have used your specific invite link, and must reach Village 2. If someone else invited them with a different link first, you won’t receive credit.

Can you play Coin Master without friends?

Yes, but the game is meaningfully better with them. Card trading, spin gifts, and invite rewards are significant advantages — especially for free-to-play progress.
